Another Shocking Not So Shocking Attack

That didn't take long.  I was talking with King Banaian just last night that this would be the next line of attack.

Sarah Palin often identifies herself simply as Christian.

Yet John McCain's running mate has deep roots in Pentecostalism, a spirit-filled Christian tradition that is one of the fastest growing in the world. It's often derided by outsiders and Bible-believers alike.

Palin was baptized Roman Catholic as a newborn. She was then baptized in a Pentecostal Assemblies of God church as a teen and attended that church until six years ago, when she and her family adopted a different home church, an independent evangelical church.

I added the emphasis there because it's true that it's often derided by outsiders but not that much by Bible-believers.  While some "Bible-believers" may disagree on Theology, but they don't deride them.  This is what these AP Reporters don't get.  When you don't have a evangelical or even a Judeo-Christian worldview, it's extremely hard to understand the theological differences and the different style of worship that happens in a pentacostal church.  They express their worship outwardly.  Maybe I can help them understand.  That furrow that Chris Matthews feels for Barak Obama, that's close to how pentacostals feel about their triune God, the Father, Son(that's Jesus) and Holy Spirit.  When they feel the Holy Spirit move, it is expressed through verbal worship.

Most of the writers for the big news agency see this as foolishness and they quickly dismiss them for their believe in anyone or thing other then themselves.  According to the best selling book of all time, the Bible, in 1 Corinthians 2:14 "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."  Since many Christians believe the Bible to be the Word of God, pentacostal or not, this is one reason you don't hear them complain often when they are attacked, misquoted, and derided by the likes of the AP.

Hopefully soon the attacks on Gov. Palin will be limited to the issues and not to these personal attacks they've been so far.
